Papa don't preach....

We stood before him in the lounge
my mother, my brother and i
we knew that he would start preeching
so we bade the tv good bye
as papa began his usual speech
concerning human factors
from Shahrukh khan to Kenu reeves
i thought of them all
but then i had nothing else to do
so i just stared at the wall
sitting there i thought to myself
papa's sermons are so boring
and then i wondered, how come papa
can't hear mummy snoring?
i guess papa was busy in preaching
which meant in other words
nothing was going to stop him
and our protest would not be heard
i looked at my brother's agonized face
and i thought he was tired too
but then i realized that the poor guy
had to urgently use the loo !
i had no allies in the war
i knew that i was doomed
but then from somewhere in my brain
this crazy idea bloomed
i don't know how it happened
it just popped into my head
i cried out: papa don't preach
let's all watch the movie instead
don't ask what happened next...!
