Today was the toughest day at office. I had to do a great effort to keep my eyes open. I slept late yesterday. And i kept on dozing in a dozing corner (that i have discovered recently at Plant) for some time. *Making sarkari dafter wala mahool*. And i kept on cursing myself 'kia bakwas hai yar kahan phans gaey'. Very risky thing. They can surely fire me without any warning. So from tomorrow no more dozing. GH finally decides.
em not happy with this job. This is the actual problem. These days i am posting cvs. And simply waiting for responses. Lets c kab halaat badaltay hain.
Waisay in Japan, this activity is legal in offices. Known as After Lunch Nap.

Down the Memory Lane
Listening to: Hamsafar by Hadiqa Kiyani.
This song always reminds me about my very early days at GC Lahore in October 1997. As such there are no particular memories but it is all about the 'time and space' that i am missing now! My bi-seater room on first floor, A small circular lawn in the center of hostel, A weak & old kite with it's one broken wing - that used to live in the lawn under a concrete bench and was fed by baba ji- the gate keeper, The very particular aroma of white flowers, Wet and cold winter nights, Maroon color
tea-mugs with a college logo printed on them in golden color, Tea with it's specific iila'echy flavor, Mouth watering mess menu, Hostel library, Waiting for Tuc Shop to open in the enevings from 4 to 5 and then again from 8 to 9 pm after dinner - had a certain charm in it, Walks to Anarkali after dinner - accompanied by Badar, Naqi, Noman and Rizwan, Study period from 9 to 11 pm - in which we were supposed to be at our study tables and in that SP i always read novels, Smoking in rooms, Late night discussions on Mantoo kay afsanay and what not and what not! And oh i forgot to mention about my 'Always On' pocket size radio - it was a time when FM100 was the only king in the music industry! Bunking classes and rushing to Bukhari Auditorium to attend debating competitions - And I used to go there to listen the speeches of Aadiyah Quyum - such an enchantingly beautiful babe she was, with a unique debating style as well, deserves a mention! :) Choosing/Revising niks of students and teachers, Cheating of Assignments (yeah that is very imp to make a good assgmnt.), Using 'Way Up' to come down from floor 'One' to ground floor in main college building, suggestions for College Weekly Gazette, Music society, Annual dinners, Golden nights and the list goes on..............!
That was indeed a best part of my life!

O' ALLAH Almighty please help us to complete these rescue operations successfully at our earliest. Ameen.
Market main chezain black ho rahi hain. Dawayan, kambal, bistar ore kapray wagaira, sab loog is chakar main hain kah season main monafa kama lain.
Aik taraf is baat per khoshi hai kah logon main qurbani ka bay-gharz jazba hay tu dosri taraf is baat ka afsoos kah kuch log is moqa per bhi bah'tee ganga main haath dhona chah rahay hain.

More than 12 hours are gone since quake has struck South Asia. More than thousand casualties are already reported in Pakistan and still it is not known how many people are still under the rubble waiting for the help to reach them. I am sad, upset and frightened. The geologists are saying quake is not over yet. More shock waves are expected. Nearly at 4 pm there were some shocks again. And right now it is raining in Islamabad. It means that the rescue teams have some difficulties ahead. Alas, people are still under the tons of wreckage, injured and hungry and fighting to sustain life in these unfavorable weather conditions. And the saddest thing is nobody knows how many of them will survive. We can only pray for them. Needless to say, rescue teams are continuously working there.
I have seen the clip of studio recording of PTV. The guest in the show was quite sensible and I must say he had strong nerves. He realized it was a quake, rather than rushing wildly he recited some prayers, Kalma and said Astaghfaar. Everything in the studio was badly moving. And this whole clip was much enough to shake my soul from deep inside.
In the morning, at 7 minutes before 9 am, I was in my office when I suddenly felt some mild vibrations. Due to heavy machinery installed on the plant, vibrations are a routine matter. But they are never that strong to vibrate the chair. I was a bit astonished but I ignored. The very next moment there was another stronger wave and by then I had realized it was an earthquake. I was alone, rushed to the door of deputy-manager next to me, he was also rushing outside. But for a while the quake ended and DM was in a mood to sit back in his chair, but then another wave shook everything and its intensity kept on increasing and finally we left the rooms instantly.
Our whole deptt. was present in the lawn with fear on their faces … and in front of us was badly swaying three storey building with people still stuck in its stairs. It was horrible to see and everybody was saying Astaghfaar. The quake lasted for about 5 minutes. Thanks to ALLAH there wasn’t any sort of damage.
After his whole incident, I saw only one person who had a smile on his face. Was this the time to smile? Not at all … perhaps that’s when u evoke all your sins and beg for mercy from ALLAH. There wasn’t any effect on him. Pretty strange. May ALLAH forgive us all.
The proceedings of senate are dismissed so that senators may also take part in rescue operations . hah. A laugh line in this serious situation.
